- Sounds like you have a short circuit in the keyboard connections, or the
- keyboard doesn't work at all. If I remember my A2000 scematics correctly
- a working keyboard (if plugged in) will have to generate a continous line
- of clock pulses to the A2000 via the serial data line(?). These pulses are
- detected in a little timer circuit on the A2000 motherboard, and if no pulses
- are received within a certain (.5 seconds) period, a hard reset is the
- result. If this data line is short circuited or broken (or the keyboard
- just plain doesn't work) the machine will be in a constant state of resetting,
- not doing much :-). If you can, try with another keyboard that is known to
- work. Hope this helps a bit...
